Known issues


Zolar is still in development. Some things in the game may change – bugs may be fixed, visual elements redesigned, gameplay adjusted… Your feedback is very appreciated and can make an impact in further development!

Below you will find any currently known issues. If you encounter anything that feels broken to you, please let me know and I’ll take a look asap!

Known issues

  • Hub mechanism may show erratic behavior after loading a save game. Interacting with the elevator controls will resolve this.
  • The last hub door may not open after setting the correct tower combination. You may need to change the levers in the hub or change the position of the hub (up then down again) to open the last door.
  • Bumpy elevator ride when going up!
  • Rendering: Sunlight may pass through solid objects.
  • Audio: Some sounds may appear to be missing or are placeholders, reverb and spatialization are only partially implemented.
  • Guidance object sound may stutter.
  • Game aspect ratios other than 16:9 have not been tested and may cause issues.
  • Higher/lower resolutions than 1920*1080 may lead to a small menu text or hidden menu elements.
  • No sound in the intro (Still work in progress). - FIXED
  • Player falls through the floor when activating the menu while inside the moving hub. - FIXED
  • Rendering: Transparent effects may appear in front of other objects despite being located behind them. - FIXED
